What do we do?
The work of Countryside Alliance Wales is underpinned by our four key pillars; all of which exemplify the main reasons why we campaign for rural communities.
Sustainable rural community
We challenge decisions made by Welsh government and Natural Resources Wales that will affect the sustainability of our rural communities, the fabric of rural life, our heritage, culture and Welsh language.
Environmental stewardship
We keep land mangers’ stewardship of the countryside at the fore of discussions with politicians, the media and other bodies at every opportunity, championing their work and tackling misconceptions.
Challenge misinformation and bias
We challenge the misinformation that is presented to Welsh Parliament and other bodies such as Natural Resources Wales and constantly engage in their work, calling for their decisions to be evidence-based.
Public benefit
We provide guidance and help to our members on issues that affect their rural way of life, the rural economy and health and well-being. We empower communities through our work to join us on this journey, creating a vibrant thriving countryside that will stand up to threats to their existence.
