What a year it’s been! None of this would be possible without our wonderful and dedicated team of coaches who go above and beyond to support every session. A huge thank you also goes to the teachers and school staff who’ve embraced Fishing for Schools and helped make it such a positive experience for their young people.
This year, we are proud to have delivered Fishing for Schools to 300 young learners through 150+ sessions across England and South Wales. We also we expanded our reach to Northern Ireland, where three schools participated in pilot sessions led by the Ulster Angling Federation, in collaboration with Countryside Alliance Ireland.
The feedback from schools has been positive, and we are pleased to see the difference Fishing for Schools is making*:
* feedback from 26 schools taking part in 2024
At its heart, Fishing for Schools supports young people in building confidence, developing life skills, discovering their potential, and developing the self-belief that they can learn and achieve. By offering a different way to engage with learning, and embracing the outdoors, we are giving them tools for success both in school and beyond.
Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this year such a success.
