The Shotgun & Chelsea Bun Club has changed the face of the ladies' shooting scene over the last five years. From their first event in September 2011 at South Worcester Shooting Ground, where 4 total beginners tried shooting for the first time, the Club has gone on to welcome well over ten thousand ladies at their events across the UK.
Knock on effects during the past 5 years include a huge spike in ladies applying for their shotgun licenses and becoming gun owners; a noticeable shift in the industry in attitudes and products available for lady guns.
Personally, the Club has pioneered and led the way with additional events such as their annual ladies' shooting conference, two incredibly successful National Ladies' Shooting Days (an initiative set up by the club), educational days, novice game shooting days, workshops, masterclasses and more.
The Club has a vibrant, engaged and ever growing membership of ladies spanning all ages, backgrounds and abilities, who come together with a shared love of shooting.
Members are at the absolute heart of the Shotgun & Chelsea Bun Club. So many incredible ladies have shaped the club to become what is is today.
In celebration of the members and their 5th Anniversary, the Club is holding an inaugural awards scheme. Online nominations are now open for the awards, which will be presented on 1st October at their all star awards dinner at Chesford Grange Hotel in Warwickshire.
Victoria Knowles-Lacks, S&CBC Founder said ''It's been such a fantastic 5 years. It's been an absolute whirlwind and I never dreamt that our darling club would have such a made such an impact and drawn so many incredible ladies in. I'm so excited about the awards and I can't wait to see who wins''.
