Sisters Emma and Sally from Hillers Farm Shop in Warwickshire have invited us to join them as they share what it's like to spend a day in the life at Hillers during lockdown. This wonderful business boasts an array of services including a farm shop, a restaurant, a garden centre and a gift and interiors shop, keeping them extremely busy. They, along with thousands of other businesses, have had to face a host of different challenges that they have had to overcome to continue providing the services that their community need, especially at the minute,
Starting their day at 4:45am, the gates are opened for the pick and pack teams to arrive and set up, ready for their day to begin. The Hillers Farm Shop team have adapted their store to suit the new needs of the business, including three extra till points to accommodate the extra orders they receive through their Call and Collect service, available for their more vulnerable customers. Alongside many other businesses, some of the ways that Hillers Farm Shop have adapted their services to keep their customers and employees safe, are by enforcing social distancing measures throughout their store and by delivering pre-paid packages directly to customers' cars.
We're sure that the entire community is looking forward to the day that Hillers Farm Shop can reopen their garden restaurant and beautiful display garden for their customers to enjoy. plus, with Hillers being the 2016 Midlands Local Food winners, it's no wonder that this business has so successfully adapted to these challenging times.
