The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) are currently researching the impact of mobile coverage in rural areas as part of their Shared Rural Network (SRN) programme. This programme aims to increase mobile network coverage across the UK to 95%, thereby helping to reduce the digital divide. More information about the programme can be found here.
The DCMS want to find out how this programme can help or benefit you in your daily life so are inviting people who live and work in rural areas to participate in a survey which details the mobile coverage usage and satisfaction. They are interested in finding out what social impact the programme may provide in the future, so your responses to this survey may help inform future government policy.
You can participate in the survey here or you can email [email protected] to request to complete the survey over the telephone. The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete and you can also opt-in to be contacted for a follow-up interview at the end of the survey. Once you have started the survey, you are free to answer all, some or none of the questions as you see fit.
