An adjournment debate on the governance of the BBC (brought by Charles Walker, Conservative MP for Broxbourne) took place in the House of Commons on Thursday 8 December. The Countryside Alliance briefed ahead of this debate and you can download our briefing note here: briefing-note-on-bbc-governance-adjournment-debate-charles-walker-mp-08-12-16. While we accept that the BBC is a much loved institution we call for greater clarity and accountability as regards its own Charter.
