Beaufort collects 2,000 coats for charity

Wardrobes have been raided right across the Beaufort and VWH countries. From High Street fashion to designer - over 2000 coats for the young, and not so young refugees experiencing a bitter Syrian winter were on their way yesterday. Masterminding the collection in the Beaufort was Angela Meade, mother of eventer Harry Meade and, Pammie-Jane Farquhar, wife of Ian Farquhar, the Beaufort's joint master.

Angela says "The shipments will continue so long as the coats keep coming. We're planning to hit local schools and village shops next."

More about the charity Country Coats 2 Syria and details of collection centres can be found here.
