The Countryside Alliance is delighted to offer for auction a limited edition signed print of the Peterborough Royal Foxhound Show, held in 1978.
With the Festival of Hunting that was scheduled for 22nd July not able to ahead this year, along with many other significant events, we are grateful to the generous member of the Alliance who has donated the print which features HRH The Prince of Wales who was president for the show's centenary. The key, which is included on the reverse of the print, includes the names of many other familiar faces from the hunting world who were also featured.
The auction, which will go to the highest bidder, is being held in aid of the Campaign for Hunting which continues to be absolutely core to the mission of the Countryside Alliance.
Polly Portwin, the Alliance's Head of Hunting said: "This has been an extraordinarily tough and unprecedented year for everyone and understandably many of our key fundraising activities have been cancelled due to COVID-19. We are therefore incredibly grateful for this donation which has offered us the opportunity to raise important funds for the Campaign for Hunting while giving one lucky bidder the chance to secure a wonderful piece of hunting history."
Bids should be submitted by email, including full contact details, to [email protected] before 12 noon on Wednesday, 29th July.
A mouse was the signature trademark of the late artist Terence Cuneo who was renowned for his paintings of railways, horses and military scenes. Can you spot the mouse in the picture?
Happy bidding!
