Charles Jardine's London Marathon blog: Week 2 - Off to the races

Fishing 4 Schools' founder and director Charles Jardine is running the Virgin Money London Marathon for us on 23 April. You can sponsor him on Just Giving.

Here's his weekly blog, bringing you up to date with preparations for his third marathon.

"I didn't realise how ill I was. It turns out I had a full blown chest infection so I've been on antibiotics all week and the preparations have been on hold really. But I now have eight weeks to the big day and I'm feeling much better! I intend to put in some big runs this week and start training in earnest – however I promise to be sensible (when am I ever!)

"Whilst I have not been able to achieve much physically, the fundraising is coming along well. I now have more than £350 pledged on my JustGiving account and I was rattling my tin at the Cheltenham and Gloucester Fly Dressers' Guild on Wednesday. It was a lovely evening and all were very generous – thanks so very much.
