The survey reported on Sky News today (06/08/18) echoes the recent National Rural Crime Survey 2018 which demonstrated that crime is having a significant impact on rural areas.
Countryside Alliance Head of Policy, Sarah Lee commented: "We all need to tackle this blight together and take seriously the impact crime is having on rural communities and businesses. Rural communities and businesses must play their role and report all incidents of crime. Policing in rural areas must be properly financed, crime targeted and taken seriously by the police and the Government."
