The Countryside Alliance Foundation (TCAF) are delighted to announce that they are an official partner for the first ever World Fishing Day 2018. In addition to this, Charles Jardine, Fishing for Schools founder has been asked to become an ambassador for the initiative.
World Fishing Day will be taking place on Saturday 23rd June 2018, in a bid to unite the angling community, bring new people into the sport, celebrate the joys of angling and highlight the incredible power of angling to make positive changes in the world and in people's lives.
Fishing for Schools and Casting for Recovery, two of TCAFs projects, are excited to be involved in the day so make sure you follow the hashtag #WorldFishingDay to keep up-to-date with all the latest news.
Charles Jardine commented: "The Countryside Alliance Foundation is delighted to celebrate World Fishing Day 2018. It is such a fantastic way to introduce more people to the sport. One of World Fishing Day's aims is to get more young people involved which is why Fishing for Schools is thrilled to be involved. All the ladies that attend our Casting for Recovery retreats talk about how therapeutic and relaxing fly fishing is for them and we hope that this day makes more people aware of the wonderful benefits that fishing offers."
