Year 4 pupils Amber Green and Sebastian Tarry wrote this report of their day:
"Today, the whole school started the day with an assembly about birds of prey. We had a visitor called Sharon and she brought in five of her special 'family' members!
"The type of family members were; a barn owl (Rocky), a little owl (Click), an American kestrel (Star), a Harris hawk (Sky) and a goshawk (Spike).
"First we did a workshop and she talked about each bird and even let us stroke Rocky! Then we decided on our favourite bird of prey and we had to do a profile about it.
"We were really busy and then we had to use our classification knowledge to sort out lots of birds into four groups which were; hawks, falcons, owls and others.
"Later on we learnt about the anatomy of the birds of prey. We had a brilliant, fantastic, fun day and we can't wait to see Sharon in two weeks' time!!"
Sharon will return to Milverton School on 23 November for another session.
