Falconry for Schools flies in to Burley and Woodhead Primary School

Falconry for Schools Yorkshire team visits Burley-in-Wharfdale primary school for a day of falconry fun

The Falconry for Schools Yorkshire team was at Birley and Woodhouse Primary School last Thursday (27 June) for a one-day course of falconry fun.

Year 5 teacher Chris Davison said: "A big thank you to Falconry for Schools for their educational visit to our school today.

"Rhiannon from SMJ Falconry provided a great practical learning experience for our children over a full day session with several birds of prey. The children were fascinated and inspired to learn more about the animals and it prompted some excellent learning questions. There was a good mix of theoretical information linked with hands on activities and I would recommend this course to any school."
