Farmers Guardian has reported "The farmer at the centre of the Forage Aid scheme has warned the farming community the crisis caused by the Somerset floods is 'far from over'. Andrew Ward (Twitter handle @wheat_daddy) who set up the scheme said although the flood waters have subsided, the 'very real' problems caused by weeks of flooding have continued and will continue 'for the foreseeable future'. Mr Ward, who was meeting with affected farmers in Somerset this week, said: "Although the water has gone, the situation is just as dire. The only difference is the water is not there." Also this week, 26 tonnes of straw were delivered to James Winslade (@westyeo) for his cattle. Mr Winslade tweeted: "my caravan is in need of a spring clean - under 5ft of water for 3 months (see pic)."
