The Countryside Alliance Wales marked this year's Hunting Act anniversary by taking a stand to the Welsh Labour Party conference in Cardiff. Rachel Evans and Sarah Lee welcomed many people to the stand: particular interest was taken in outdoor education, the food labelling campaign and of course hunting.
The Minister for the Environment and Sustainability Mr John Griffiths also visited the stand along with the First Minister the Rt Hon. Carwyn Jones. Rebecca Evans AM, Keith Davies AM, Gwenda Thomas AM, and Ken Skates AM were particularly interested in our campaigns. Ken Skates is particularly keen to promote the consumption of game.
This was the Countryside Alliance's first time as a stand-holder at the conference and was a worthwhile opportunity to speak to AMs about the numerous currently issues affecting rural Wales.
