Environment and Sustainable Development Minister, John Griffiths commented: "I was delighted to present these awards that recognize the high standards of our important rural industries. All the finalists should be proud of their achievements. Best of luck to the four finalists going on to the Grand Final in March".

Rachel Evans, Countryside Alliance Director for Wales commented: "The Countryside Alliance is proud to honour our hardworking, unsung rural business men and women and give them a public pat on the back. Our Champions all contribute an exceptional amount to our rural communities and I am delighted to commend them to the national judging panel. I hope they can give the rest of the UK a run for their money and bring some more titles back across the Severn in March. I wish them all the best of luck."
