The Countryside Alliance has appointed a Deputy Chairman, Susan Aubrey-Cound, to a new position overseeing the Alliance’s commercial and marketing strategy.
Susan brings digital commerce and marketing expertise as well as a track record developing industry-leading sustainability and ethical campaigns - she was previously a Director at Marks and Spencer plc and CEO Ecommerce at the Daily Mail Group. She splits her time between London and the family farm in Hampshire.
Susan said “I am excited to join the Alliance at what is a critical moment for our countryside - politically, economically and environmentally. For over 25 years the Alliance has built a reputation as the most effective campaigning force for the countryside, and I am looking forward to making sure that this vital work is supported by everyone who benefits. There are many battles ahead to protect our rural way of life, and the Alliance needs to continue to grow to meet every challenge.”
