Dear Members and Supporters,
As of today, March 20 2020, the National Health Service across England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales is issuing an urgent call for retired health practitioners to return to the NHS to provide support and relief during the Covid-19 pandemic.
When the nation calls for help, the countryside answers. We are urging members and supporters who are retired nurses, doctors or health practitioners to heed this call and support the health services during these uncertain times.
The impact Covid-19 is having on our lives means we must all do our bit in supporting our community whether you are a farmer and putting food on our table, working hard in a shop keeping the shelves stocked or one of our hardworking emergency workers looking out for us all.
Over the coming weeks the NHS will endure unimaginable levels of pressure and rapidly increasing demands. Your support will make more of a difference than ever before, not just to patients, but to your fellow colleagues and the wider community. Letters have been posted to over 65,000 retired practitioners from the NHS with further information.
If you have retired from the NHS in the past three years then please visit:
Sincerely,
The Countryside Alliance Team
