Conservative
- Provide superfast broadband to 95% of UK by 2017
- Subsidise the cost of installing superfast cable satellite services in remote areas
- Provide rural areas with near universal superfast broadband by the end of the next Parliament
Green
- Give BT and other public telecommunications operators an obligation to provide affordable high speed broadband infrastructure to every household and smallbusiness in the UK
Labour
- Ensure that all parts of country benefit from affordable, high speed broadband by the end of the next Parliament
- Maximise private sector investment and deliver the mobile infrastructure needed to extend coverage and reduce 'not spots'
Lib Dem
- Complete the rollout of high-speed broadband to reach almost every household in the UK (99.9%) as well as small businesses in rural and urban areas
UKIP
- Nothing specified in manifesto
