The Countryside Alliance has an exciting programme planned for the political party conference season this Autumn. The Alliance will welcome the Secretary of State for Defra, Shadow Secretary of State for Defra, Ministers, MPs, peers and industry experts to our events at the Conservative and Labour Party conferences.
If you are attending conference, we do hope that you will be able to join us at what will undoubtedly prove to be fascinating discussions ranging from Labour's rural strategy to the Government's Action Plan for Animal Welfare. We are also holding a joint drinks reception with the Conservative Rural Forum.

Conservative Party Conference 3-6 October
Roundtable with Victoria Prentis and Neil Parish
On Monday 4 October, we will welcome Victoria Prentis MP, Minister of State for Defra, and Neil Parish MP, Chair of the Efra Select Committee. Chaired by our Chief Executive, Tim Bonner, we will discuss the Government's Action Plan for Animal Welfare, including the Animal (Sentience) Bill currently progressing through Parliament, as well as other legislation and matters of importance to the countryside.

Drinks Reception with the Conservative Rural Forum
On Tuesday 5 October we will hold a joint drinks reception with the Conservative Rural Forum (CRF). Speaking at the event will be the Secretary of State for Defra, the Rt. Hon. George Eustice MP. We will also hear from the CRF Chair, Peter Stevens, and our Chief Executive, Tim Bonner.
