West Norfolk hunt raises more than £2,000 for air ambulance service

The West Norfolk Foxhounds have handed over a cheque for £2,053.13 to the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA).

The money was raised by donations from supporters at fund raising events held by the hunt over the past 18 months.

Sue Wood, whose husband Tim suffered a bad fall out hunting in September and had to be airlifted to hospital by air ambulance, handed over the cheque to Jenny Easton of the EAAA at the hunt's Christmas Eve meet.

Mrs Easton thanked the West Norfolk Foxhounds, saying: "I don't think there is anyone involved in equestrian activities who doesn't know somebody who has used an air ambulance. They are often riding in locations like this which are difficult to get to. Without donations like this we would not be able to do the work we do."
