The Worcestershire Hunt takes part in Operation Christmas Child appeal

The Worcestershire Hunt has collected over 50 shoe boxes full of gifts as part of their support for this year's Operation Christmas Child appeal.

Co-ordinated by Danielle Dickens, a member of the hunt's supporters club committee, the shoe boxes have been packed full of gifts that have been donated by the hunt's members and supporters. The parcels contain a variety of useful items including school supplies, hygiene items, special gifts and fun toys which will be distributed to vulnerable children around the world.

"In many ways the Worcestershire Hunt is like a large family, so we encouraged the opportunity to extend our generosity to those much less fortunate," explained Adrian Ward, joint-master of the Worcestershire Hunt. "For many of the children who will receive them, these shoeboxes are the first gift they will have ever received. After all, Christmas is a time for giving."

Polly Portwin, Head of Hunting at the Countryside Alliance said: "This is yet another demonstration of kindness shown by the Worcestershire hunting community who, like many other hunts across the country, support local, national and worldwide charities to help raise funds and support good causes such as this one."
