The Countryside Alliance is well respected across Westminster and the devolved administrations for the quality of our briefing and advice on a wide range of rural issues.
Through consultations, meetings, and events, we promote rural issues in Westminster and across the devolved administrations to ensure that law and policy support the rural way of life. We are independent from government and work with politicians from all elected political parties to promote the interests of our members and supporters.
The work of the political team is varied, and no two days are the same. One day we could be working with members of the House of Lords to secure changes to a Bill going through Parliament, or briefing MPs ahead of an important debate, and the next day we could be planning party conference events.
